Scraped with Single Edged Razor Blade
Scraped with Single Edged Razor Blade
- A freshly sanded and solvent cleaned single edged razor blade is used to scrape away a few microns of a surface exposing clean fresh bulk for analysis.
- This method can be applied to many materials, including metals.
- To be useful, the area of interest should be scribed with a 4-5 mm circle, and then the inside of the circle is scraped with the single edged razor.
- The scribed area must be uniformly scraped over an area that is at least 2 mm in diameter.
