Surface Delamination of Laminar Single Crystals Using Tape
- Scotch tape or other types of tape can be used to peel off the very topmost laminar layer from many different laminar single crystals, such: HOPG, Bi2S3, MoS2, MoSe2, PtS2, TaS2, WS2 ….
- After peeling away the top most layer which often has contamination of the air-faced side, we get a clean crystalline surface for XPS.
